FAQs
Find answers about countertop reverse osmosis systems, P3 and P3A models, installation, filtration performance, filter replacement, and everyday use.
Contact SupportNo. The P3 series is designed as a plug-and-play countertop reverse osmosis system. No faucet connection, drilling, or permanent plumbing is required. Simply fill the water tank and plug the unit into a standard power outlet to begin filtration.
Both P3 and P3A use a 5-stage reverse osmosis filtration process and share the same core RO purification technology. The main difference is the final filtration stage. P3 uses a post-carbon filter for a clean, crisp taste, while P3A uses a mineralization stage that adds minerals such as calcium, magnesium, and potassium back into the water.
The P3 series combines sediment filtration, activated carbon filtration, reverse osmosis, and post-filtration. The RO membrane is designed to reduce a wide range of dissolved contaminants, including heavy metals, fluoride, nitrates, and PFAS such as PFOA and PFOS, while the carbon stages help reduce chlorine, odors, and other unwanted tastes.
For typical household use, the P3 series filters are designed for approximately 6 months of service. Actual filter life can vary depending on water quality, usage, and daily water consumption. The system also provides a filter replacement reminder to help you keep up with routine maintenance.
The P3 series is designed with a 3.5:1 pure-to-drain ratio. This means the system produces approximately 3.5 parts purified water for every 1 part of drain water, helping reduce water waste compared with many conventional reverse osmosis systems.
The P3 series is recommended primarily for treated municipal tap water with a feed-water TDS below 500 ppm. If you use well water, we recommend pre-filtering the water first with an appropriate whole-house filtration system to reduce sediment and other particles before they reach the countertop RO system.
No. Unlike under-sink or whole-house RO systems, the P3 series uses a refillable water tank. You do not need to connect the system directly to your home's plumbing, making it a convenient option for apartments, rentals, offices, kitchens, and other spaces where permanent installation is not practical.
The P3 series is designed for compact countertop use. The P3 measures approximately 15.75 inches long, 6.3 inches wide, and 12 inches high, allowing it to fit comfortably into many kitchen and office spaces without requiring permanent installation.
Yes. The P3 series is designed to produce purified water for everyday drinking, cooking, coffee, tea, and other household uses. The P3 provides purified RO water with post-carbon polishing, while the P3A adds a mineralization stage for users who prefer mineral-balanced water.
The P3 series uses a tool-free snap-fit filter design. When replacement is needed, the filter cartridges can be removed and replaced without professional plumbing or complicated tools. This makes routine maintenance quick and convenient for everyday users.
