Purcooflow 20" x 4.5" 5 Micron KDF & Carbon Composite Filter - Heavy Metal Reduction
/
-
Advanced Heavy Metal Removal: Formulated with high-purity KDF-55 media to significantly reduce water-soluble heavy metals, including Lead, Iron, Manganese, Mercury, Arsenic, and Chromium. Protect your family from the hidden neurological and physical risks of metal contamination.
-
Multi-Stage Deep Purification: Combines premium Kinetic Degradation Fluxion (KDF) with high-grade activated carbon. This dual-action technology targets chlorine, hydrogen sulfide, pesticides, and VOCs for crystal-clear, odorless water.
-
Bacteriostatic Property: Unlike standard carbon filters, the KDF media creates an unfavorable environment for bacteria and algae growth within the filter cartridge, ensuring the filter remains hygienic throughout its entire lifespan.
-
Maximum Protection for Appliances: By removing scale-causing minerals and corrosive heavy metals, this filter extends the life of your plumbing, water heaters, and high-end bathroom fixtures by preventing buildup and oxidation.
-
Universal Fit for 20" x 4.5" Big Blue Systems: Compatible with all standard 20-inch Big Blue housings and most whole-house filtration systems. Easy drop-in replacement with no modification required.
-
High-Capacity & Long Lifespan: Designed for 20" x 4.5" Big Blue housings. Its massive surface area supports high flow rates with zero pressure drop, making it the ultimate choice for large villas and well-water filtration. We suggest replacing the KDF water filter cartridge every 6-12 months (or 100,000 gallons) depending on your water quality

FAQs
Learn how Purcooflow's advanced KDF media helps reduce heavy metals, chlorine, and other common contaminants while extending the life of your whole-house filtration system.
Contact SupportThe Purcooflow KDF filter is designed to reduce chlorine, lead, mercury, and other common heavy metals found in residential water supplies. It also helps improve water quality by targeting contaminants that traditional sediment filters cannot effectively address.
While carbon filters primarily focus on chlorine, taste, and odor reduction, KDF media uses a redox process to target heavy metals and chlorine. Many whole-house systems combine KDF and carbon filtration to achieve broader contaminant reduction and longer filter life.
By reducing chlorine and certain heavy metals before water reaches the carbon stage, KDF media helps reduce the workload on downstream filters. This can improve overall system performance and help extend the service life of carbon cartridges.
Most households should replace the KDF cartridge every 6–12 months, depending on water quality and usage. Homes with elevated chlorine or heavy metal levels may require more frequent replacement to maintain peak performance.
The cartridge is engineered for whole-house applications and is designed to maintain strong water flow under normal operating conditions. As with any filter, a noticeable pressure drop may indicate that replacement is needed.
Yes. The cartridge is manufactured to standard 20" x 4.5" Big Blue dimensions and is compatible with most industry-standard BB filter housings used in whole-house filtration systems.
